We are a hub of Christian community for families, schools, colleges, and resources.
Mission
To Advance Classical Christian Education, Community, and Culture
Vision
Our robust Christian community stands on the truth of God's Word. We are a hub of edifying resources to encourage a deep implementation of truth, goodness, beauty, and holiness in classical Christian education and in the home. We are comprised of Christians with similar, though not always the same, ideas and beliefs. We sharpen each other and advance classical Christian education, community, and culture. For Christ and Our Future!
Christian
We are Christian. We affirm the truth of God's Word as summarized in the Nicene Creed. We aim to pass this faith to our children, communities, and country through classical Christian education.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds. God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made. Who, for us and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; And ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father; And He shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life; Who proceedeth from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Classical
We are Classical. We recognize that there are a variety of definitions and approaches to classical education in modern times, but reject the idea that classical education can be offered apart from the truth of Holy Scripture. We seek to aid in the recovery, renewal, and restoration of historic Christian liberal arts education. We value truth, goodness, and beauty and delight in discovering these transcendentals in the seven liberal arts of grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, music, geometry, and astronomy. Additionally, we greatly appreciate history, art, gymnastics, natural philosophy, theology, and the unity of all knowledge in the order of God's created universe.
Culture
We love cultivating Christian culture. There is not one square inch of this world over which our risen Lord does reign supreme. Christians steeped in rich biblical theology and robust classical studies will naturally be drawn toward building true, good, beautiful, and virtuous Christian community and culture that reflects a love for God and love for neighbor. We desire for robust Christian community and culture to be a hallmark of the classical Christian families and schools we support through our work at the CCEA.
FAQ
Q: Is CCE an association of schools with options for accreditation?
A: No. Classical Christian Education (CCE) is not an association and does not offer accreditation. We exist to connect parents with classical Christian schools and resources.
Q: Why is it so inexpensive to be listed on the CCE website?
A: CCE desires to keep marketing expenses low for schools and organizations while exposing parents to the many possible opportunities for classical Christian education in their area or in the location to which they are moving.
Q: Why are there such a wide variety of schools, colleges, and resources?
A: We believe that providing parents with possibilities will allow them to investigate schools and resources to discover the best available opportunity for their family and children.
Q: Do you list classical charter or classical private schools on your map?
A: No. We only list schools that proclaim Christ as Savior and a desire to be classical Christian in approach, methodology, and philosophy. As an extension of government education in America, charter schools are restricted from claiming Christ and Holy Scripture as the source of truth.
"If any of you lacks wisdom,
let him ask God, who gives generously to all
without reproach, and it will be given him."
